Ordering Chicora
Publications
For years Chicora Foundation offered publications for sale
at the cost our printer charged us, plus shipping. This created a considerable
back stock and tied up a great deal of the Foundation's money. We no long offer
publications for sale on a routine basis. We do have a few publications and
their cost is noted. The cost for most is so low that we no longer offer
reseller discounts. We require prepayment by check for individuals and
organizations.
We pride ourselves on sending all of Research Series
to a variety of libraries across the U.S. Our Research Contributions are
routinely sent to the South Carolina State Library and the South Caroliniana
Library. The South Carolina State Library offers interlibrary loan.
Shipping
Shipping rates: $7.50 for the first
publication, $1.25 for each additional publication for shipment to the 48
contiguous states. For shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, or Canada,
please call. We ship Ground UPS - please ensure that you provide us with a
street address. We cannot ship UPS to post office boxes. Overnight or special
handling requires additional fees. Call 803/787-6910 for details.
We are a small organization, but make shipments as quickly as
possible. However, please allow 2-3 weeks.
Refunds and
Exchanges
Because we are a small research organization, there are no
refunds. Publications will be exchanged only if defective.
If you feel that your order is damaged, please contact UPS
– all our shipments are insured through the shipper and it is purchaser’s
responsibility to pursue collection for damages. We will, of course, assist you
in this, but we cannot replace damaged shipments without reimbursement from UPS.
